Welcome to Rainbows
Our preschool setting, Rainbows, is accessible to children from the age of 3, and it provides our children with first-hand experiences that support their early development, enabling them to flourish throughout their early educational experiences in the lead up to transitioning into Reception and the wider school.
Rainbows Preschool consists of both an indoor and outdoor provision that children access as 'free flow' provision, enabling them to learn and develop in different environments with endless opportunities. Throughout our indoor provision, we have very recently implemented 'The Hygge Approach' to enable a calm, nurturing environment which fosters feelings of cosiness, happiness and familiarity, capturing a sense of security and wellbeing for children during their early stages of education. Within this approach, the use of natural materials and loose parts are used, encouraging children to explore, investigate and learn through first-hand experiences of open-ended resources, providing them with endless opportunities to be curious, sparking their imagination and creating wow moments of awe and wonder!
Children are provided with many learning opportunities, where their individual needs and next steps are catered for as part of our key worker and planning approach.

Snack & Lunch
- Morning snack consists of a staggered rolling snack in Rainbows. During this time, children are provided with experiences to cut and chop their chosen fruits, spread butter onto crackers/rice cakes and pour their own milk and water into a cup.
- Lunchtime also consists of a staggered rolling lunch, where children eat their packed lunches from home, with a small group.
- At Rainbows, we believe meal times are an important time for children to communicate with their peers and key workers through quality interactions, supporting their early language development.
- Please ensure your child has a named water bottle when they attend their sessions. This should contain water only.
