Junior Road Safety Officers
Each year the school as a small group of pupils from across Key Stage Two who are elected as Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSO's). Their role involves raising awareness of hw to keep safe on the roads and pavements.
Regular meetings are held to voice concerns, discuss road safety and how the importance of this can be communicated to keep everyone safe. The team lead assemblies on Road Safety, run competitions to raise awareness and monitor traffic and parking outside the school.
Our JRSO’s remind our pupils to walk, cycle, scooter or park and stride to school and track their journey on Travel Tracker to gain their WOW badges. They also remind our pupils to Be Bright Be Seen, in our latest campaign.
